#1 Growth & Jobs Killer - The Tax Code - www.GrowthandJobs.org

Questions for the Presidential Candidates ?

PART I

  1. Are the poor, elderly, and us all, paying a large amount of hidden taxes, embedded in the price of every product we buy, due to the income taxes paid by all people and businesses in the chain of supply ?

  2. Is the largest portion of hidden taxes, in food for example, due to an average 25% income tax that:

  • the grocery store pays,
  • the trucker pays,
  • the packaging company pays,
  • the food company pays,
  • the farmer pays,
  • many other suppliers pay,
  • and the multiplier effect that the suppliers' suppliers pay,
  • including the hidden income tax in the inputs such as, seed, cardboard, gasoline, diesel, and electricity ?

PART II

  1. Is one of the most regressive taxes on the poor and elderly these embedded income taxes in the products they purchase?

  2. Will decreasing the income tax expenses reduce the price of goods and services, the same as competition reduces the price of items such as computers when electronic component expense decreased ?

  3. Are any of you bold enough explain to voters that they are already paying large hidden taxes, even the poor and elderly pay these large hidden taxes ?

  4. Are any of you bold enough to propose a plan that DRAMATICALLY lowers rates to around 10%, unhides some of these taxes, skyrockets growth by both foreign and domestic business inside the US, and significantly increases economic growth and jobs ?

Anything using the current tax code is not Bold, but just tinkering around the edges and will give no dramatic confidence to Job Creators that the rate will not shortly return to th 40% levels.

One of you candidates can dramatically increase your chance for the nomination by garnering the Fairer Tax Vote.

People told Reagan he could not cut rates in one fell swoop from 70%-90% to 28%. That was too Bold. Reagan was Bold, he did it, and created the largest increase in jobs and wealth simultaneously with the largest increase in tax revenue.

Make it your own but possibly something like a: 10 - 9 plan with $150 per month Pre-bate to all American adults on the 10% Sales tax on first $1500 they spend each month. Parents making under $36000 would get all their sales taxes Pre-bated, Individual's $18000. Single parents would directly get prorated portion of the absent parents Prebate.

With the 10%, unhidden, Pre-bated Sales Tax and the reduced to 9% Income Tax on Individuals and Companies, the poor will pay a rate much less than the rich and the poor will be better off because the 7.5%-15% payroll tax is eliminated, the price of products will decrease due to some hidden taxes going away, the economy will grow and they will have more and higher paying job opportunities.

Maybe, over the coming decades, for our children, we can make it the 10-5 to 10-2 to 10-0 to 5-0 plan.  This goal to reach Zero Income Tax means the elimination of this embedded, hidden tax.

There are many of us, sitting on the side lines, waiting until some candidate, decides to be Bold.

Be Bold.  Thank You !!!
